About half of those diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndromes have no symptoms at the time they are diagnosed with the disease. The following can be symptoms of MDS in patients who do develop symptoms. They could also be symptoms for several other medical disorders, as well. Chronic fatigue
Palpitations
Excessive or easy bleeding, such as bleeding of the nose, gums, and under the skin
Easy bruising, particularly bruising with no apparent cause
Pale skin
Dizziness
Headaches
Irritability
mouth ulcers
Slow healing of cuts
Recurrent infections
Weakness
